It's almost been a year since I have blogged. I almost gave up on doing it, however, especially with my addiction to facebook ( I know, I know).
Things have changed so very much. Autumn finished her first year of Mother's Day Out. She did really good, and she loved her teacher (as did I).
Owen is in to everything. He's almost a year old (pitter pat). He has been the best baby...never really cried until he was 10 months old. Now, I see that he's going to be an "all boy" toddler.
They definitely keep me busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...not even 10 minutes by myself =).
Okay, well I wanted to write lots more, but ae wants me to help her paint, and owen's waking up from his SHORT nap! this is my life!

Daddy Daughter Time
So, our first week home with Owen, Brandon was home as well. What a lifesaver! He was truly amazing. I am so thankful for him and his love for our children.
Autumn was adjusting to Owen being at home, and me having to tend to him so much. And not to mention the fact that I couldn't (and can't) pick her up for two or three weeks, due to the c-section. But she's adjusting pretty good. She's as emotional as ever, but the jealous bug hasn't hit her yet...so that's good. Autumn wants to be the big helper, and she tries her hardest.
Brandon had special things planned for him and ae. This way they were able to spend some time together. My last night in the hospital (July 4th), he went home with her and they watched fireworks. She had a hard time being away from us, so spending that night together was really good for her.
On Monday, they went grocery shopping, and they bought a little pool for her to play in. On Tuesday, they just spent some time together playing inside and outside. Plus she was able to play in the pool. Wednesday, he took her on a lunch date. She got to pick anywhere she wanted to eat. And of course, she picked McDonald's (which is the one place he never takes her). Thursday, he took her to Opry Mills, so that she could do a build-a-bear. She loved it! She made a horse, and her name is: Lucy Autumn. Friday, the two of them went bowling for the first time. Owen and I went along for the ride, but they were the bowlers. She liked it, but struggled a bit, because her ball was green and she really wanted a pink one. So that put a damper on things for a while, but then we were able to turn things around and she had fun again.
It was so sweet to see the two of them spending so much time together. For him to pay so much special attention to her, when I really couldn't. I am so thankful for this man! He's an amazing husband, but to see him as a daddy...wow!!! Now, that's just beautiful! I am blessed...my babies are blessed! I am so thankful for my God, my husband, my adorable little girl, and my precious tiny little boy. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Summer is here!!!
It's day four of summer (well, actually day five, because it's 4:20 in the morning and I can't sleep)...but we've had an amazing summer thus far.
On Monday, ae went to the baby doctor with me and heard Owen's heartbeat. She thought that was pretty cool. Then we went to Granny and Papa's house (Grammy was there, too). Ae had Grammy help her paint a little wooden birdhouse to give to Granny and Papa. She said, it would make Papa feel better, since he was feeling sick. How sweet is this child!!!
Tuesday, we went to Grammy and Pa's house. Pa took the day off to play with us, as well. We went swimming for a long time. Poor Pa didn't get to swim very much, he was too busy grilling us some yummy food (that of course ae didn't eat, because she wouldn't dare touch any kind of sandwich other than peanut butter and jelly). But ae did squirt him several times with the water guns. She loves being in the pool. She will yell, "This is AWESOME!!!" And I have to admit to loving it as well, being in the water makes me feel not so heavy and not so pregnant.
Wednesday, we got together with our buddies and played at the Splashpad. We love getting together with Rosa Grace and Carter...and I of course love spending time with Sarah and Angeline. It's funny though, because the kiddos would must rather stand next to us, than get into the water without us. But they slowly warmed up...well at least Rosa and Carter did. Ae would go play as long as no one else was around the spot she wanted to play in.
Thursday, we finally got to hang out at home for a while. We cleaned some. Played with Playdough on the patio out back (under the awning, which was nice because we would occasionally get a rain shower or two). We met Grammy at Taco Bell for lunch, then came home for nap!
Tomorrow...(Friday)- Ae's going to play with Brittany and Kinsey while I stay home for a little bit and hopefully get some sewing done.
Here are some fun pics of the Splashpad:

Autumn's first Dentist Appointment
I took ae to her first dentist appointment on May 1st. She did so good! She got to wear these cool sunglasses, although she was a little disappointed that they were not her Diego ones. She did get for the dental hygienist, Tabitha...who by the way was truly amazing!!! She got a little nervous when the dentist came in though. It probably has a little to do with...okay, a lot to do with the fact that he was a man. But when he came in, she reached out to me, and said, "Mommy, will you hold my hand?" She's so precious!!! I sweet clean toothed baby girl! She did so good that they let her get prizes out of the treasure box.
Here are some pictures of her visit:

When we got home, she had to play dentist with me. She counted my teeth, and then she put on her dentist glasses (and talked about how they had those funny little things on them, like her dentist had).
Playing Catch Up! Starting with Spring Break in Kentucky...
So, I am a little behind on my blogging, but I can't say it's going to get any better with Baby Owen coming next month...but I will do my best.
During Spring Break, Ae and I went to Kentucky to play with Kristi.
Ae knows that Kristi's my sister, but also considered her her sister as well. I think it's because they fight like sisters, but also love like sisters! It's too cute. I think Kristi is the only person that doesn't ooh and aah over her, but treats her just like any other kid.
However, I also know that Kristi loves her more than she's ever loved anyone before. I definitely trust ae's life with my sister.
Okay, enough about all that...here are some fun pics of us in Kentucky.

What I haven't blogged about....
My sister posted a comment on here a little while back. She said that I haven't mentioned my pregnancy at all on here. It's true. For one reason, I have been a slacker and I haven't written very much on here in the last few months. But my other reason, is because this blog is my Mommy 2 AUTUMN blog....not my mommy 2 Autumn and Owen blog.
So, here goes some baby info...
It is looking like Baby Owen Scott Currey will be here sometime around July 2nd. We will have another c-section (doctor says so). I either wanted Thursday July 2nd (because ae was born on a 2nd and on a Thursday...I know silly, right?) or July 4th...because I already had a groundhog baby, why not a Fourth of July baby as well.
Autumn is excited about being a big sister, although, I honestly worry about her since she is such a mommy's girl. She's going to be such a big helper. But I look forward to also carving out some just "ae and mommy time" as well.
I was shocked to find out that we were having a boy. A tiny part of me really wanted Autumn to have a sister...but now looking back at it, I realized that God know how competitive my child was...and it was better for her to have a brother...especially this close in age.
I am very excited about having a son. We have lots of girls in our family, but not nearly enough boys. He too is definitely going to be a mommy's boy. And I am 100% okay with that. Not sure how much Brandon's going to like that, though.
Not too sure how we got his name, other than Kristi threw the name out there, and I put in on a list with like 50 other names. I let Brandon narrow it down...and his name remained in the top of the list. Scott is Brandon's middle name. And autumn already calls him "Owen Scott". It's never just Owen...but at least that's better than her first choice of Leroy!
Okay, may write more later, but it's 11:21 and she's waking up again.

Sleeping...
Autumn's struggling with sleeping right now. She doesn't make it the whole night anymore. I am sitting here typing this at 11:03 pm on a Friday night...not because I am cool enough to stay up that late, but because I dozed off during the movie (big surprise, I know) and heard her suddenly crying out. Some of it may have to do with the fact that she's had strep throat this week, but I am not so sure. She started this one day last week, being scared when she wakes up in the middle of the night. I don't want her to be scared!
She's pitiful right now, and I just want her to have a good night's sleep. And I am not even saying this for selfish reasons, not this time anyways...I just want her to sleep good. I love her so much. She means so very much to me. I want to protect her, hold her, and keep her safe all the days of her life. She is my precious gift from God!
So, as I type this. She's settled down a bit. Maybe, just maybe she will finish the rest of the night peacefully. I am so thankful that my God knows even the smallest desires of our hearts. Thank you God for watching over her and keeping her safe. I am forever grateful!

Soccer
It's been way to long...sorry about that.
Autumn plays soccer now! She's so cute! They do a lot of drills and exercises, and just a little bit of an actual soccer game. But this past weekend was her 4th Saturday to play...and she did so good. It's been a tough transition at times. She's so much like her daddy and me. It takes her a while to actually get out there and get started. But this Saturday, she did AMAZING!!! I am so proud of our cute little soccer girl!!!
Here are some pics.

Autumn's Birthday - Part I (the morning party)
This weekend has been filled with overwhelming joy. We have spend all weekend celebrating Autumn's third birthday. It's been so much fun. She has truly been amazed and amazing. We are so very blessed to have such an amazing little girl in our lives. I am so thankful that God blessed me with this child.
On Saturday, we had two parties. A morning party for ae and her friends. Then an after nap party for the family. As busy and hectic as the day was, it was so much fun. She was so excited. The whole night before, she helped me prepare for the parties. She was so wound up and excited!
First thing Saturday morning, I hear ae yelling from her big girl bed, "Mommy, is it time for my party yet?" So we got up, cleaned up, baked cupcakes and then we were all set for the party.
We played in several different play areas around the house, such as: play-doh, Mr. Potato Head, Tunnels, Race Cars, Book Tent, and Sit and Spin. We also decorated our own cupcakes. It was so funny to watch the kids. They were much more intersted in the bowls of icing rather than the actual cupcakes. I should have just gave each child their own bowl of icing and let them go at it. I am sure that the parents would have loved that. Then Daddy and Tim brought in the Pizza and bread sticks. I forgot all about putting candles in ae's cupcake...but that's okay. We still sung happy birthday to her before she opened her presents. She had so much fun!!! We are so thankful for great friends!

A couple of pics of AE's new big girl room
She looks so tiny in her big bed. But she loves her new room. I am pretty sure that she assumes she's a grown up now...because every since she's moved into this room she asks me to leave the room while she changes her clothes. I don't really like this. The first time I went along with it...but then I just flat out told her that I am the Mommy and it's my job to help change her. If she's a big girl and can put on her own clothes, that's one thing...but "Mommy can stay in the room while she changes!"

My baby...
So, my mother in law so nicely reminded me that tonight is Autumn's last night in her baby bed (granted we've turned it into the toddler bed, but still...). She meant nothing by it at all. And it's a true statement...but to a pregnant mommy of an almost three year old precious angel...it's everything. I can't believe it. My baby, she's getting so big. I know she thinks she's grown...but to me, I still look at her as my baby. This weekend is the Super Bowl...well, we brought Autumn home three years ago Super Bowl Sunday. So, yet again there are tons of memories flying thru my head right now, and dang it if I didn't have to be reminded that my precious little baby is spending her last night in her baby bed. Like I said, nothing against my mother-in-law, it's just me being the overly attached mom that I am, and on top of that 4 months pregnant.
So, as I write this...my 2 year old (almost three in 4 days) is falling asleep in her baby bed for the very last time. I love her so very much. Yes there are those moments that she drives me absolutely batty...but there are so many more moments where she just takes my breath away.
I love that little girl...I sure pray that I will love baby "Leroy" like I love my baby, Autumn.

Big Girl Room
Autumn turns three on February 2nd. Don't worry, she won't let you forget. She's very excited. As part of her birthday presents...she's getting a new queen size bed! I know, right. I have to admit, I am a bit jealous that her tiny little body will have this huge bed all to herself. However, our reasoning for buying the queen rather than the full was $150 less...crazy I know...and only a difference of 3 inches one way and 4 inches the other way. So, why not!
But she's so excited about this big girl room she's getting. Her and her daddy painted last weekend. So, it's purple on top and white on the bottom. We bought new pastel colored curtains with flowers on them. We put new blinds up, and even got her mattress today. So, she's almost ready to spend her first night in her big girl room. We are now just waiting till Friday when the actual furniture arrives. I can't wait to show you all her room. So far I love the looks of it. I will add pictures when it's completed. At first I worried about her not having enough room to play, but she has the whole upstairs full of toys, and she usually plays in the living room! So, it will all work out.
You can tell Brandon's been very excited about all of this as well. He's done a great job of building it up for ae. But although we are all super excited about the change, it kinda makes me a little sad. My little girl, isn't going to be in her little room anymore. She's not going to be in her little toddler bed or anything. That rooms going to go back in time, and return to it's nursery stage for the baby. So my little baby, isn't such a little baby anymore. She's growing up way too fast. Definitely makes me want to freeze time and just hold her in my arms for as long as I can.
Okay, must go now...tears are falling, just thinking about all of this.
Love you all!

Well, If you aren't going to clean it....I guess I will have to do it.
I think this is what my little girl was trying to tell me. The bathrooms aren't my favorite rooms to clean...I will admit it. So, it was a nice (?) surprise to see Autumn doing it for me the other day?
Well, I don't know if I would totally go that far...but here's what happened:
I was cooking dinner and I hear: "Mommy, look at this!" She was so proud of herself. She had been so busy in her bathroom. She was cleaning the walls and everything. You could just see the excitement and accomplishment on her face.
And who knew that a wet rag and good ol' toothpaste was the best choice to clean the walls with?
Silly Girl!

Merry Christmas
This is Autumn's first Christmas where she really gets it. We have been counting down the days. We have wrapped presents, sung happy birthday to Jesus many times, and baked Santa cookies all to build up to this day.
First things first...yesterday morning first thing, Autumn yells out from her bed, "Where we go tonight?" I reply: Brittany and Kinsey's house. Autumn: "We go RIGHT now?!?" I reply (mind you we are in separate rooms, so we are both in our beds yelling this to each other). "No, not till tonight." Autumn replies: "Santa Claus comes tonight!!!" Then she gets up and runs into our room very excited.
Yesterday started our time of love, family, and yet a lot of rushed chaos. We went to Papa and Granny's yesterday to spend the day with them. We ate Granny's homemade gravy and buscuits, and Linda cooked us eggs. Let me just tell you that's enough Christmas present for me. I love their homemade breakfast!!! We played and opened gifts. We gave gifts. We were able to spend a lot of the day there just relaxing and enjoying each other (other than the fact that poor Kristi kept getting attacked by the killer dog, Max). We got home around 4 yesterday afternoon, and made it to church for the 6:00 service (and we were even a bit early). The service was great! It truly reminds us how Great our God is! So, I am very thankful that we were able to attend the Christmas Eve service this year.
Next stop, Brittany and Kinsey's house for Currey Christmas. We got over there a few minutes past 7 and enjoyed eating and hanging out with family. Autumn loves to play with her two cousins. She thinks she's as big as they are (7 &10). Luckily for William, she even payed attention and played with him as well. She chased Lucy (which of course that poor cat loved, right?) Autumn kept telling us all day that she was going to go to Brit and Kins house to chase Lucy! Lucky Lucy! We ended up not leaving there till after 10. Autumn passed out in the car, and she was out cold.
This morning we had to be at my nana's house (well, Donna's house for my nana's cooking) by 8:30 or 9:00 (which is what we were shooting for). So, at 7ish, Autumn cries out a bit, then falls back to sleep. Then we try to convince her to come to our room. Finally I just go get her. Brandon tries to tell her that Santa Claus came to our hosue last night. She just looked at him and nodded. Brandon asked if she wanted to go see what he left for her. She said not right now. I need to rest. But eventually I think the excitement got the best of her and she finally gave in to our begging and pleading! So, we finally got to go see what Santa left. He did eat most of the cookies, but don't worry Autumn ate what was left over and even finished up the milk!
Santa brought Autumn a baby doll (her first cabbage patch...however, we aren't sure if she's in love with her yet...but that's okay), roller skates (Brandon just looked at me and said, "What was Santa thinking? I just shrugged my shoulders and smiled), and then he also brought her a digital camera of her own. She loved it! She loves to take pictures just like her daddy.
Brandon bought her a t-ball bat, t-balls, t-ball stand, and a t-ball glove...see the theme here? She loved it all. She wanted to of course try it all out upstairs. But luckily she saw it our way and realized it would be so much more fun to play outside. So here we go rushing around (I have already decided that she was going to live in her pj's today) trying to get her to put her shoes on and run outside so that we all could play t-ball for a bit (it's about 8:25 at this point).
We get to my nana's shortly after 9, we get to spend time with everyone...well, I get to spend time with everyone...Brandon and Autumn decide to go for a walk on such a lovely day (since they are both such "people" people...if that makes sense). After a few hours of eating, presents, and just spending time with family, we are off to our next stop...Grammy Mae and Pa's house.
Well, Autumn's much too busy doing somefin as she called it to even consider opening up presents by this point, because Grammy (Mae) and Pa got her a vanity and lots of accessories for it. We seriously couldn't pull her away from it. She loved it! I will definitely have to add pics later. However, eventually we wrapped up there and we were off for some lunch...then we realized we didn't know what we were going to do for lunch. We have nothing at home, we don't eat at the Currey's till 5, and everything is closed...well everything except for the good ol' Asia Chinese in Smyrna. So, can you guess what we had for lunch?
By this time it's already 1, so we rush home for as much of a nap as we can get. Then we head off Nanny and Papaw's house. We spent time over there, ate, and opened more presents. Wow, by this time, Autumn's cranky and exhausted...as we all are. But it's still been an amazing day.
We finally get home around 7, come in we let Autumn play for a bit, while we (no, not clean...that will come eventually, right now we were just trying to sort) try to get the house somewhat under a little bit of control. Then we go upstairs and watch some of ae's new movie "Nemo". I had seen it before, but didn't realize how many scary parts are in there for a 2 year old. By 9, we put ae to bed. And now here we are, exhausted, but almost too exhausted to sleep.
We did do our present exchange just a little bit ago (we do our's on Christmas night...we've done it like this since we started dating...can't change it now). Brandon got me 2 precious moments that are precious...well, I could have probably used a better word...but there's a good reason they are called that. Then he also got me a couple of pairs of cute pj's shorts and tanks...but of course (poor Brandon), I fall in love with the flannel pants and long sleep shirt...so guess what I am wearing tonight?!?
We had a very busy holiday. It was rushed and there were lots of presents.
But we made sure that we thanked God for His gift to us...His Son, Jesus Christ. The most amazing gift that has ever been given.
Disney World-Oct. 2008
We took ae to Disney World over fall break. We went there, Sea World, and St. Augustine. We had an amazing time. There's lots to tell, but since I am so far behind, I will just share the pictures for now and tell you more later.
Needless to say, my daughter was totally in awe and in love with these amazing characters. You would have thought she had seen her long lost parents, the way she held on to them for dear life.

Seeing Autumn's face as she saw her favorite characters was absolutely priceless. She loved Disney World. She loved the rides. However, the 3D movies...not a big fan. If you are every curious, ask her about the "Big Daddy Bug that shoots fireworks". She also didn't like the "Big Bad Wolf" at one of the parades.

Halloween
I am so behind...but just bare with me.
Autumn loved Halloween this year. She actually understood the whole trick or treat thing. We were walking her around our neighborhood and she thought she needed to go to every house. I tried to explain to her that we should only go to the houses with their porch lights on. So, she figured it out. She would point and say, "Oh, I know...I know...that one...let's go there!"
She was such a polite trick or treater. She would kindly say (in a very soft voice), "Trick or Treat, Please". However, on her way to the house, she would always growl pretending to scare them first, but the closer she got to the door she'd chicken out and turn into our sweet, polite dinosaur.
This is a picture of Granny and Autumn carving a pumpkin! They had so much fun. We love going to see Granny and Papa...just ask "ScooterBelle" (that's what Papa called ae last time we were there).
This picture is pre-Max stealing the eyes, nose and mouth and eating them. Autumn still tells me about this. She says, "I spank him...No No Max! That's my eye, eye, nose, mouth!"
Here are some pictures for you. I will try to update more later.
